How to document a bodily injury claim?

Documenting your bodily injury claim is not very difficult if you are keeping a dairy of your injury. The claim adjuster will look over all the evidence you present. The tricky thing is that you must do it as you go, if you forget, then it will be very difficult to go back and add things to the record.

Documentation really is what will give value to your claim. If you document your claim correctly, you settlement amount will reflect that. Remember that you are buying a lawsuit and the more evidence you would have against a person, the more a jury would believe you and hopefully award you more damages.

The sad reality is that if you do not go to the doctor, then you are not documenting your injury correctly. Insurance companies think you are making stuff up. If you have pain, then you go to the doctor. That is their view. If you do not go to the doctors, then they will assume that you did not have any pain.

  1. I think it’s much better if one goes to a doctor, rather than keeping a diary. Injury claim cases are hard to win without proper evidence

  2. Yeah, I agree. However, you should do both. If you can only do one, going to a doctor will always beat having a diary. Everything helps.
